Recital!
I wanted to post about the recital I'm going to be in this June with my dance studio. I've somehow managed to get myself into 3.5 performances a day for two days.
The first will be the opening number. I'm not sure how that will work, because anyone can be in it. Our theme is "Night at the Museum", so the opening number will be a bunch of people dressed up like exhibits you'd see in a museum. I'm going to be Amelia Erhart. This is what I'm considering to be .5 performance. :)
My technique class is representing the Beethoven museum. We are dancing to Fur Elise. Here is a picture of our costume:
In Lyrical we are doing a song from Avatar. I don't know what museum it's supposed to represent, but the costume is cool.
And by far, my favorite costume is for pointe. We are doing the butterfly museum. I absolutely love the costume!!
My main problem? Being mortified of looking disgusting in these awesoeme costumes. I've been really working out more and I'm still steadily losing weight, but I've still got a ways to go.
